Built-in team roles

Three ready-made roles, no setup required.

managemate comes with three ready-made roles - Admin, Inventory Manager, and Pick and Packer - so you can add people to your workspace and they each get a sensible set of access from day one, without you building permissions from scratch.

When you sell across Meesho, Flipkart, and Amazon from one workspace, more than one person usually touches the work: someone manages stock, someone picks and packs the day's orders, and someone keeps an eye on payments and the wallet. Built-in team roles give each of those people a starting set of access that fits what they actually do, so you are not deciding every checkbox the moment a new person joins.

managemate ships with three roles out of the box. Admin can see and change everything, including the INR wallet, top-ups, billing, and who is on the team. Inventory Manager works with the product catalog and stock across marketplaces. Pick and Packer works through the order queue without touching wallet, billing, or team settings. You assign a role when you invite someone, and they sign in with the access already shaped around their job.

Roles are a foundation, not a cage. Where a specific person needs a little more or a little less than their role allows, you can layer per-person permission overrides on top. So the built-in roles handle the common cases quickly, and the exceptions stay easy to manage.

What you get

Built into built-in team roles

Three roles, ready on day one

Admin, Inventory Manager, and Pick and Packer come pre-defined with sensible access for each job, so you can add people without configuring permissions from a blank slate.

The wallet and billing stay with Admin

Only the Admin role can view and act on the INR wallet, run top-ups over UPI, and see billing. A packer working the order queue never lands on your money screens.

Access matched to the daily job

Inventory Manager focuses on catalog and stock across Meesho, Flipkart, and Amazon; Pick and Packer focuses on moving orders through, without distraction from settings they do not need.

Assigned at invite time

Pick a role when you invite someone to the workspace. They set their password, sign in, and see exactly the screens their role covers - no extra setup step for you.

A clean base for overrides

Roles cover the common shape of each job. When one person needs an exception, you add a per-person permission override on top instead of rebuilding access by hand.

How it works

From setup to everyday use

  1. 01

Invite the person and pick a role

From your workspace, invite a team member by email and choose Admin, Inventory Manager, or Pick and Packer. The role decides what they can see and do.

  2. 02

They set a password and sign in

The person receives the invite, sets their own password, and signs in to a workspace already scoped to their role.

  3. 03

    They work in their lane

Each role lands on the relevant screens - catalog and stock, the order queue, or full access including wallet and billing - across all your connected marketplaces.

  4. 04

    Adjust with overrides when needed

If someone needs slightly different access than their role gives, add a per-person permission override rather than changing the role for everyone.

Where it helps

In the day-to-day

For a shop with a dedicated packer

Assign the Pick and Packer role so the person handling dispatch sees the day's orders across Meesho, Flipkart, and Amazon in one queue, but never reaches the wallet, top-ups, or team settings.

For a seller who handles stock separately

Give your stock person the Inventory Manager role so they can keep the shared catalog and quantities right across marketplaces, while billing and wallet decisions stay with you as Admin.

For a one-person shop bringing on help

Start everyone on a built-in role instead of mapping out permissions before you even know how the work will split. As the team grows, the roles already cover the common cases.

Questions

Built-in team roles, answered

What are the three built-in roles?

Admin, Inventory Manager, and Pick and Packer. Admin has full access including the wallet and team; Inventory Manager works with catalog and stock; Pick and Packer works through the order queue.

Can I change what a built-in role can do?

The roles come with a fixed sensible default. When a specific person needs more or less access, you add a per-person permission override on top rather than editing the role itself.

Who can see the wallet and billing?

Only the Admin role can view and act on the INR wallet, run UPI top-ups over Razorpay, and see billing. Inventory Manager and Pick and Packer do not have access to those screens.

How many team members can I add?

Team members are unlimited. There is no per-seat fee, so you can give every person who needs access their own login with the right role.

How do team members get access?

You invite them by email from the workspace and assign a role. They set their own password and sign in - their access is shaped by the role from the first login.

Do roles apply across all marketplaces?

Yes. A role governs what a person can do inside managemate, and managemate brings Meesho, Flipkart, and Amazon into one workspace, so the same role applies across every connected marketplace.
