Provisioning and login
This page explains how your account comes to exist and how you get into it.
How your account is created
You do not register for managemate on your own. The managemate team provisions each retailer workspace for you. When we set it up, three things happen in one go: your workspace is created, the standard roles are added to it, and a primary admin user is created from the email address you gave us.
Doing it this way means your workspace is ready to use the moment you first sign in. The roles are already there and your admin account already exists.
What you need before you start
- The email address you gave the managemate team. This becomes your admin login.
- Access to that inbox, since the invite link arrives there.
The invite email
After we provision your workspace, the system emails your admin address. The subject reads Your managemate account for <your business>. Inside is a short message and a Set your password link.
The link carries a single-use token that is valid for seven days. Open the email and finish setting your password within that window. If the link expires, ask your managemate contact to send a new invite.
Setting your password
- Open the invite email and select Set your password.
- On the page that opens, enter a password you will remember. Use something only you would guess.
- Submit the form. You will see a confirmation that your password is set and you can now sign in.
The token works once. After you set your password, the same link will no longer open the form, which is expected.
Signing in
- Go to your managemate sign-in page.
- Enter your email and the password you just set.
- Select sign in. You arrive in your workspace.
Your session is kept in secure cookies handled by the app, so you stay signed in across visits until you sign out or the session ends.
What success looks like
You are in when the workspace loads with your business name shown and your admin account active. From here you can add teammates and load your wallet.
If you cannot get in
- The invite link expired. Tokens last seven days. Request a fresh invite from your managemate contact.
- You forgot your password. Use the forgot-password option on the sign-in page. It emails a reset link to your address with the subject
Reset your managemate password. Open it and set a new password. - The reset email never arrives. Check spam first. If it is still missing, confirm with your managemate contact that we have the correct email on file for your account.
