Guided onboarding

A clear first-run path from invite to your first synced order.

When your workspace is ready, managemate doesn't drop you on an empty screen. Guided onboarding lays out the first few steps in order, so you go from email invite to your first synced order without guessing what to do next.

Setting up a tool that touches your orders, stock and money is the moment most software loses you. There are marketplace accounts to connect, team members to add, and a wallet to fund before anything useful happens, and it isn't obvious which comes first. Guided onboarding turns that into an ordered checklist you can work through at your own pace, with each step explaining what it does and why it matters for a seller running Meesho, Flipkart and Amazon side by side.

Your workspace is provisioned by the managemate team, so the very first step is already handled: you receive an email invite and set your password. From there, onboarding picks up. It points you to connect your first marketplace account, watches that connection move from pending to connected, then nudges you toward the next thing that unblocks real work, whether that's adding a teammate or loading the wallet. You always know how far along you are and what's left.

Because the steps map to the actual managemate setup rather than a generic tour, you finish onboarding with a workspace that is genuinely usable: at least one marketplace connected and syncing, the right people invited with the right roles, and enough wallet balance to cover your first orders.

What you get

Built into guided onboarding

An ordered setup checklist

The core setup tasks, connect a marketplace, invite your team, fund the wallet, are laid out in sequence so you tackle them in an order that makes sense instead of hunting through settings.

Live progress you can see

Each step shows whether it's done, in progress or still waiting. A marketplace connection that's still pending reads as not-yet-done, so you know exactly what's blocking your first sync.

Plain explanation at each step

Every step says what it does and why, in concrete terms for a multi-marketplace seller, so connecting an account or loading the wallet doesn't feel like a leap of faith.

Pick up where you left off

Onboarding doesn't have to be finished in one sitting. Close it, handle a day of orders, and come back to the same checklist with your completed steps still marked off.

Points to the right place

Each step links straight to where the work happens, the connection screen, team and roles, or the wallet, instead of leaving you to find it.

How it works

From setup to everyday use

  1. 01

Accept your invite and sign in

The managemate team provisions your workspace and sends the admin an email invite. You set a password, sign in, and onboarding is waiting on the other side.

  2. 02

    Connect your first marketplace

Onboarding points you to add a Meesho, Flipkart or Amazon account. Once the connection moves from pending to connected, that step is marked complete and the first sync can begin.

  3. 03

Add your team and fund the wallet

Next, invite teammates and assign roles like Inventory Manager or Pick and Packer, then top up your prepaid INR wallet over UPI so per-order fees are covered.

  4. 04

    Start working in the dashboard

With a connection live and the wallet funded, onboarding hands you off to the operations dashboard, where your synced orders, stock and returns are waiting in one place.

Where it helps

In the day-to-day

For an admin opening managemate for the first time

You've just set your password and you're not sure where to begin. Onboarding tells you: connect a marketplace, add your team, load the wallet, in that order, with each step explaining itself, so your first session ends with a working setup rather than an open browser tab and a question.

For a seller adding marketplaces one at a time

Say you start with only Meesho connected and add Flipkart and Amazon later. The connect-an-account step shows clearly which accounts are connected and which are still pending, so you can see at a glance whether a newly added marketplace has finished linking.

For a workspace admin setting up the team

Onboarding reminds you that connecting accounts is only half the job. It points you to invite your Inventory Manager and Pick and Packer with the right roles, so the people who do the daily work can sign in and see exactly what they're allowed to.

Questions

Guided onboarding, answered

Do I have to create my own workspace before onboarding starts?

No. Workspaces are provisioned by the managemate team. You receive an email invite as the admin, set a password, and onboarding begins once you sign in.

What does guided onboarding actually walk me through?

The first real setup steps: connecting a Meesho, Flipkart or Amazon account, inviting your team with roles, and loading your prepaid INR wallet, in an order that gets you to a usable workspace.

Can I finish onboarding later if I get interrupted?

Yes. The checklist keeps your completed steps marked, so you can close it, handle other work, and come back to pick up where you left off.

How do I know when a marketplace is properly connected?

The connection step reflects the account's status. While it's still pending it reads as not done; once it moves to connected, the step is marked complete and syncing can begin.

Will onboarding load money into my wallet for me?

No. It points you to the wallet step, but you top up the balance yourself over UPI through Razorpay. Every credit and debit is recorded as a line in your ledger.

Is guided onboarding only for the admin?

The full setup checklist is aimed at the admin, since connecting accounts and funding the wallet are admin tasks. Teammates you invite sign in to the parts of managemate their role allows.
