Counter staff get a Cashier role that sells at catalogue prices and hides purchases, money and reports. Day end totals each payment method for the drawer count, and products below their reorder level go onto a reorder list that drafts purchase orders per supplier.

Can I use managemate as billing software for my shop?
Yes. The counter bills by barcode scan, search or tap, takes UPI, cash, card or split payments, and prints a 58 mm or 80 mm GST receipt or an A4 invoice. Each sale updates stock and records a numbered invoice and the payment together. It runs in the browser, so a counter computer, laptop, tablet or phone will do.
Does it work with a barcode scanner and receipt printer?
Yes. USB barcode scanners that type like a keyboard and send Enter after each code work anywhere on the counter screen, and Bluetooth scanners in keyboard mode work too. Any 58 mm or 80 mm thermal printer installed with its driver prints receipts through the browser's print dialog, and receipts can print automatically after each sale.
Can customers pay by UPI QR?
Yes. Add your UPI ID once in Settings, and the counter shows a QR code for the exact bill amount that customers scan with any UPI app. Complete the sale once the payment shows as received; managemate does not confirm it with the bank. Split bills can mix UPI with cash, card, bank transfer or cheque.
What does day end show?
Day end shows net sales, the number of receipts, GST included and sales on credit, with a net total for each payment method and the receipts for reprinting. The printable day-end sheet adds returns, discounts and best sellers, and a drawer table with the collected, refunded and expected amount for each method and space to write what was counted.
Can I stop counter staff changing prices?
Yes. Give counter staff the Cashier role. Cashiers sell at catalogue prices, which the server enforces, and must collect the full amount, so they cannot put a sale on credit. Purchases, inventory, money and reports are hidden from them. They can still apply a line discount, so agree a discount policy with your team.
Can I bill on a phone or tablet?
Yes. managemate runs in the browser on phones and tablets, and the camera scans barcodes, so a small shop can bill without extra hardware. Receipts can be sent on WhatsApp to a named customer or printed where the device supports printing. An internet connection is needed, as there is no offline mode.
How does the shop know what to reorder?
Set a reorder level and an order quantity on each product. When available stock falls to that level, the product appears in Today's plan and on the reorder list, which suggests a quantity after counting what is already on order. Select the lines and managemate creates one draft purchase order per supplier.
