What's new

Better every week

We ship improvements every week, shaped by the businesses using managemate. Here is what changed, newest first. Follow by RSS.

Self-serve sign-up and free trial, plus real costs and margins

You can now sign up with your email or Google account and start a 60-day free trial for up to 5 users, with no card required. Every lot now carries what it really cost, so margins on sales, production and the new profit chart reflect what you actually paid.

  • Setup

Start a free trial on your own

Sign up with your email address or Google account and your workspace is ready at once, free for 60 days for up to 5 users, with no card required. A guided setup then walks you through your business details, taxes, invoices and team.

  • Setup

Import your data from Excel or CSV

Bring in products, customers and suppliers, locations and opening stock from a spreadsheet instead of typing them in one by one.

  • Team

Manage your plan and seats yourself

Settings → Subscription lets administrators purchase a monthly or yearly plan through Razorpay, add or remove seats at any time, and download every invoice and credit note. Your first payment is covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee, available once per customer.

  • Money

    Real costs on every lot

Each lot now carries its landed cost, including freight and other extra costs on the purchase, and bulk stock is valued at its average cost. Sales orders and invoices show the margin at the cost of the lots sold, to the people allowed to see costs.

  • Money

Profit and margin on the dashboard

A new chart shows your gross profit and margin for the last 30 days against the 30 days before, so you can see at a glance whether the business is earning more. It appears for people with access to finance.

  • Stock

Write off expired or damaged stock

Remove expired, damaged, lost or internally used stock with a numbered write-off note you can print, or clear every expired lot in one go. Stock and stock value stay accurate instead of carrying goods you can no longer sell.

  • Stock

    Stock health and lot details

Inventory now shows stock value at cost, low stock and expiring or expired lots at a glance, with a full history of every movement. Open any lot to see where it is and return it to the supplier it came from.

  • Selling

    Billing and shipping addresses

Save several addresses for each customer and choose where to bill and where to ship on every order. Both print on your documents, and the GST place of supply follows the delivery address.

  • Selling

    See where your sales go

A map of India on the dashboard shades each state by its sales, and Reports lists sales by delivery state and your top delivery cities.

  • Manufacturing

Labels and a production sheet for every run

Record the materials actually used, lot by lot, and print finished-goods labels while making or when the run is complete. Each run also prints a production sheet that works as the job card on the floor and the batch record afterwards.

Product variants and photos, plus extra costs on orders

Products can now come in sizes, colours and other options, each with its own SKU, price and stock, and carry up to eight photos. Orders, invoices and bills also take extra costs such as freight, and you can set your own document numbers.

  • Stock

    Product variants

Add options such as size and colour to a product, and every combination becomes its own item with its own SKU, barcode, prices and stock. All the variants are created and updated together in one save.

  • Stock

    Product photos

Add up to eight photos to each product. The first one appears as the thumbnail in the catalogue, at the counter, in search and on your documents, so your team picks the right item.

  • Money

Extra costs on orders, invoices and bills

Add freight, packing or any other charge to sales and purchase orders, invoices and bills. Charge names are saved for reuse, and each charge prints on its own line with its tax.

  • Manufacturing

Purchase missing materials from a production run

One action creates draft purchase orders, grouped by supplier, for only the materials still short after usable stock and pending purchases. The run links to those orders, so you know when production can start.

  • Printing

    QR labels for received goods

After receiving a purchase, print a QR label for each lot on standard 2 × 1 inch label rolls. Scanning one at the counter sells from that exact lot, and expired or mismatched stock is refused.

  • Setup

    Your own document numbers

Choose the prefix and the next number for sales and purchase orders, invoices, bills, credit notes and production orders. Useful when you are continuing the numbering from your previous software.

  • Buying

    Quick actions on every list

Each row in a list now has a menu of common actions, such as returning goods to a supplier or editing bill details straight from the bills list, without opening the record first.

  • Printing

    A more formal letterhead

Invoices and other printed documents have a redesigned letterhead in your business's accent colour, with a clearer totals panel, while a normal invoice still fits on one A4 page.

  • Setup

    Business settings in clear sections

Settings → Business is now split into Business details, Taxes, Documents, Receipts, Payments, and Currency and time zone, so each setting is quick to find.

Counter sales, GST invoices and a dashboard that plans your day

managemate now brings buying, selling, stock, production and the shop counter into one workspace, with GST invoices and bills that print as proper PDFs. The dashboard lists what needs doing today, most urgent first.

  • Selling

    Sell at the counter

Scan items with a USB scanner or the camera, or tap them, then take cash, UPI with a QR code for the exact amount, card, a split payment or pay later. Each sale updates stock, issues a numbered invoice and records the payment in one step, and a Cashier role can sell without seeing sales or money screens.

  • Selling

Orders that show the next step

Sales and purchase orders move from Prepare to Deliver or Receive, Invoice or Bill, and Paid, with one clear action at each step. Deliver or receive part of an order and the rest stays open.

  • Money

Invoices and bills in one place

See what is ready to invoice, unpaid, overdue or paid, with due dates worked out from each customer's or supplier's payment terms. Send a payment reminder on WhatsApp in one tap.

  • Printing

GST invoices and documents as PDFs

Tax invoices print with the place of supply and a rate-wise GST summary, plus a How to pay slip with your UPI QR code and bank details. Quotations, delivery challans, goods received notes and 58 or 80 mm receipts print the same way, ready to share.

  • Setup

A dashboard that plans your day

Today's plan lists overdue invoices, bills due, deliveries, expiring lots, low stock and drafts, most urgent first, each with the button that does the job. A setup checklist ticks itself off as you add your real data.

  • Stock

Purchase in sacks, sell by the kilo

Each product keeps one stock unit plus the buying, selling and usage formats you trade in, such as a 25 kg sack. Stock is held in lots with expiry dates, and the earliest-expiring stock goes out first.

  • Buying

    Reorder list

Products below their reorder level are gathered on one list, which turns them into draft purchase orders for each usual supplier.

  • Stock

    Scanning, labels and locations

Use the barcode on the pack or create your own, print labels on A4 sheets or label rolls, and count stock by scanning. Choose the shop or warehouse you are working in, and the dashboard, lists and new orders follow it.

  • Manufacturing

    Formulas and production runs

Save a formula, plan a run, see which materials are short, and record what was actually made. Completing a run updates material and finished stock together.

  • Money

    Statements and reports

Every customer and supplier has a statement with balances and overdue amounts that you can send on WhatsApp. Reports cover the Indian financial year, with net sales, estimated margin, GST collected and paid, and best sellers.
